About me

I was always extremely fascinated with the movie making process since a very young age. Born and raised in Montreal, I found it more difficult when I was younger to expose myself to this business with the small amount of films that were being shot here some years back compared to cities like NY and LA.
At the age of 14 I began presenting myself to different casting agencies and signing myself up to whatever I could get. Naturally this led me to work as an extra on various sets. I have to say that this was positively one of the best experiences a person at a young age could get; learning about how films were made while putting a few dollars in my pocket. I couldn’t ask for more and was thrilled, not to mention that it kept me out of trouble!
After a while I had set all that on the “back burner†as they say and decided to concentrate on school and a “careerâ€, as defined by my parents, because I was always told that the movie industry was something you dreamt of doing, it wasn’t reality and you couldn’t make a livelihood out of making movies. I was labeled a nut case and a dreamer by my father (probably the romantic side of me). This is what led me to a degree in electronics and later a second in computer networking. Soon after my first degree, I went to work for a huge aerospace company. While employed there, I met an English fellow who was nearing retirement. He was exceptionally fond of theatre and the arts in general. I told him about my passion for the film industry. He drilled me every day. He kept telling me not to ever retire here and to pursue my passion. I took his advice and I quit my job. I began working for myself. This allowed me to manage my time and pursue my passion for the movie industry.
Later, I was contracted for a small role on Largo Winch. There I met Paolo Seganti (Largo), a fellow Italian who inspired me as well to continue my work. Today, I am happy to count Paolo amongst my friends. I’m truly pleased to have gotten to know him and I look forward to one day working with Paolo as I find him to be an exceedingly talented actor.
Today I continue to write, produce, act and edit my movies through my company Cuttrhoat Pictures; having created four movies to date, including two feature films. My latest feature is entitled Love Kills. It was shot last summer and I am currently in post-production with an intended release for the Fall of 2008. This was the first feature that I decided to take on as a Director, writer, producer and actor. It was challenging, but with the right crew, and help from my wife Catherine and my buddy and co-producer Christian Gavin from Winding Road Pictures, I managed pulling it all together. Don’t let anyone dictate what you can and can’t do. Anything is possible and your dreams are but a glimpse of what is to be your future if you allow yourself to receive it. The bigger the dream, the greater the life.
I wish you a great day and more importantly, happiness!
